Duplex Stainless Steel Syphon and Snubber units are generally made from duplex grades like UNS S32205 / S31803, which contain about 22% chromium, 5–6% nickel, and 3% molybdenum, featuring a balanced ferrite-austenite microstructure. This unique composition provides high strength, excellent resistance to chloride-stress corrosion cracking, and impressive pitting performance. The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of around 620 MPa, a yield strength close to 450 MPa, and remarkable toughness even in low temperatures. The duplex matrix also enhances fatigue resistance, making these components ideal for environments with fluctuating pressure and thermal conditions.
